Nicki Wilson

Nicki played sports for fun growing up and always loved to be active. After college, she discovered that Pilates was a great complement to her cardio routines. After the birth of her first child, she decided to pursue her goal to become a fitness instructor and was certified in Pilates. She has been teaching Pilates, Core and Barre classes for the past 6 years.

Nicki believes proper form and balance are the keys to fitness. She emphasizes mixing it up with your workouts and to have a mind-body connection during exercise.

As for what to expect in her classes? She says be prepared to feel the burn in your core (and everywhere else)!

Alice Le

Alice grew up here in Columbia and went to USC where she earned a degree in biology. Alice has always had an interest in fitness, but after college it became a bigger part of her life as she obtained her yoga teacher certification.
 
Alice is excited to be able to share her love of yoga with the JSF clients. Her words of wisdom to those taking her classes? Challenge yourself, because you CAN do it!

Jess Ruff

Jess Ruff began teaching group fitness classes in 2008 after years of being a FIRM client. She loves teaching at Jamie Scott Fitness, where she is able to constantly challenge herself as well as the clients. In addition to teaching and taking classes at Jamie Scott Fitness, she enjoys running and has completed many races, including 10 half marathons. She earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Clemson University, and a master’s degree in library and information sciences from the University of South Carolina. Jess is a National Board Certified teacher at Brennen Elementary School, where she strives to set a healthy example for her young students. In her free time she enjoys watching college football and cheering for the Clemson Tigers!

Annie Scott

Annie got into exercise in college when she started doing a boot camp with Rob DeBoer. She worked out with him for a couple of years. When she graduated college, she joined Jamie Scott Fitness and fell in love with the classes. She wanted to start teaching because during her boot camp days, she learned that she could put a class together, in the rare event the instructor was not able to make it. Annie started teaching at JSF in 2011 and has had so much fun thus far! She lives in Columbia and is a Treasury Management Officer at NBSC.
FLEX is a 100% full-body stretch class. There are three key components to any exercise regimen: strength, cardio and flexibillity. If your routine is missing the flexbility piece, this class is exactly what you need!

Stretching lengthens your muscles, aiding in recovery, reducing soreness and helping to prevent injury. In FLEX, you will hold deep stretches, helping your body get the proper rest it needs.
