This class is taught by:

Nate King

Nate King grew up being involved in football, basketball and track. Nate has been working out for over 16 years doing weight training, cardiovascular exercise, cross training and circuit training. A graduate of the W.I.T.S. program at Midlands Technical College, Nate is a certified personal trainer. 
 
Nate is also a Registered Nurse. A graduate of South Carolina State, he currently works for the American Red Cross where he treats patients with rare autoimmune and blood disorders.
 
Nate's outgoing personality and passion for health and wellness make him a great motivator and instructor. 
 
 
 

Thomas Ocean

Thomas grew up playing basketball and football. While in college he began weight training with his roommate and quickly became passionate about the transformation of his body and health. He still does weight training and/or cardiovascular exercises daily. Thomas is a certified personal trainer through the National Exercise and Sports Trainers program.

Thomas’ advice to clients regarding health and wellness? Staying active and working out regularly can really improve your overall quality of life, such as boosting the immune system, increasing energy levels, and can help reduce stress. So just do it!

Thomas says his classes are fun, but effective, so come ready to work hard!

Annie Scott

Annie got into exercise in college when she started doing a boot camp with Rob DeBoer. She worked out with him for a couple of years. When she graduated college, she joined Jamie Scott Fitness and fell in love with the classes. She wanted to start teaching because during her boot camp days, she learned that she could put a class together, in the rare event the instructor was not able to make it. Annie started teaching at JSF in 2011 and has had so much fun thus far! She lives in Columbia and is a Treasury Management Officer at NBSC.

Micaela Jones

Micaela has always had a passion for fitness. She grew up playing sports, majored in Exercise Science in college and recently obtained her personal training certification. Micaela is making a career out of using her knowledge of health, wellness, and exercise to help others achieve their goals.

Micaela's best advice to clients? "Everyone is different and everyone’s body is unique. No matter what your goal, it is achievable and the key is to stay positive and find what will keep you motivated. What you put in is what you will get out. If you want real results, be willing to put in real effort."

Robert Simmons

Robert's fitness history started with years of basketball and football. He is NCCPT (National Council of Certified Personal Trainers). After being an athlete for years, he decided to continue his pursue of wellness and joined the JSF team in 2011. Robert's classes will push you to your max potential with proper coaching and motivation.

Raven Gambrell

Raven Gambrell began her fitness career with The FIRM in 2006 and has continued with bodyFIT and JSF. She enjoys motivating clients to stay active not only for physical fitness but for overall well-being. She lives a busy life as an engineer and a mother of two small children. She is also very active in our community through the Junior League, her children’s preschool board and other organizations. She finds staying active and interacting with the clients at JSF helps keep balance in her life.
This weight training class is perfect for beginners and experts alike. Our skilled instructors take you through a full-body weight training session in 45 minutes and finishing with a set of TABATA cardio! This class focuses on proper form and helping you, the client, master the basic mechanics behind strength exercises. Advanced participants can use this class as an opportunity to lift heavier and push beyond strength plateaus. Props used: dumbbells, medicine ball, Bosu trainers.
