JAMIE SCOTT FITNESS CLASSES


Jamie Scott Fitness offers the most diverse and effective group fitness classes that you will find anywhere. Whether its strength training, cardio, flexibility, or a combination of all three that you are looking for, JSF has the classes you need for a well-rounded and fun fitness routine.

At Jamie Scott Fitness, the classes are not designed around fleeting trends. Classes are based on proven methods which get the client maximum results in an efficient manner. JSF offers a group fitness experience unlike any you've had before.


STRENGTH - 45 minutes

Ideology: This class focuses on proper form and helping you, the client, master the basic mechanics behind strength exercises. Expect a total body workout with a Tabata-style cardio finish.

Props used: dumbbells, medicine ball, Bosu trainers

Footwear: neutral cross trainer


   

INTENSITY - 50 minutesJamie Scott Fitness High Intensity

Ideology: Start with 25 minutes of strength training, then follow it up with 20 minutes of intense cardio. You’ll get four-limb work, power cardio, core work and tabata cardio to name a few.

Props used: dumbbells, plyobox, step, Bosu trainers and medicine ball

Footwear: cross trainer with stability






   

Xtreme - 55 minutes

Ideology: This bootcamp-esque class will push you to the limit. Integrating weights, plyometrics, calisthenics and outdoor drills, you will never know what is coming next.

Props: anything goes

Cycle-X - 45 minutesJamie Scott Fitness Cycling

Ideology: 100% cardio. 45 minute class. Awesome cardio workout that is gentle to your joints. Taught by motivating instructors who will take you through a series of jumps, surges and uphill climbs and leave you panting but somehow wanting more! (Fitness magazine recently cited studies that show that cycling atually produces a longer afterburn of calories that any other workout!)

Props used: indoor cycles

Footwear: spin shoes highly recommended

Ideology: Three rotating sections that build in intensity. Just when you think you can't take anymore, we push you to dig deeper.

Props used: spin bikes, dumbbells and Bosu trainers.

Barre Focus- 50 minutesJamie Scott Fitness Barre

Ideology: Barre fuses exercise techniques from the worlds of Pilates, Dance, Cardio-Sculpting Moves and Yoga. You’ll firm, tighten and tone your whole body and you’ll burn mega-calories along the way! No dance experience necessary.

Props used: mini stability balls, light weights, and mats

Footwear: barre socks (slip resistant socks; sold at JSF front desk) or dance shoes


   

Fusion - 60 minutes

Ideology: Combine weights and cycling in this unique, total body class. Begin with 20 minutes of weights, focusing on the upper body and core. Then, move into the Cycle Studio for 40 minutes of cardio that also serves as your leg workout. Truly, the best of both worlds.

Props used: dumbbells, Bosu trainers, indoor cycles

Fusion-Flip - 60 minutes

Ideology: Combine weights and cycling in this unique, total body class. BUT now beginning with 40 minutes of cycle, then moving into the main studio for weights, focusing on the upper body and core. 

Props used: dumbbells, BOSU trainers, indoor cycles

Footwear: Spin shoes are recommended and cross trainer shoes


   

Weights & Cardio - 60 minutes

Ideology: This class consists of alternating sets of weight training and cardio intervals and ends with core exercises and a relaxing stretch.

Props: dumbbells, stability ball, step, tall box, Bosu trainers and medicine ball

Footwear: neutral cross trainer


   

TRX Circuit- 60 minutesJamie Scott Fitness TRX

Ideology: This class takes TRX training to the next level by incorporating kettlebells, BOSUs and body weight exercises. Plan on getting a full body workout with plenty of cardio. This is circuit training at it's best! 

Props used: TRX bands, weight ropes and weights. 

Footwear: neutral cross trainer

*TRX Circuit* - 60 minutes

Ideology: This class takes everything you love about TRX Circuit and condenses it to 30 minutes! Great lunchtime class for those looking for a workout on their lunch break. 

Props used: TRX bands, kettlebells, Bosu trainers, medicine balls and weights.

XPRESS - 45 minutesJamie Scott Fitness Personal Fitness

Ideology: This workout includes 8 circuits, each with 3 minutes of weights working a muscle group to failure followed by 1 minute of high intensity cardio. You get an hour's worth of work in 45 minutes!

Props used: dumbbells, Bosu trainer, tall box, step and medicine ball

Footwear: cross trainer with stability






   

CORE 2.0 - 45 minutes

Ideology: Burn through belly fat, increase flexibility and strengthen core muscles through an intense and effective core-focused workout. Feel your heart rate constantly fluctuate throughout class, resulting in more calorie burn and core strengthening.

Props used: Pilates rings, medicine ball

Footwear: bare feet, sock feet or barefoot-style shoes


   

COREcycle - 55 minutes

Ideology: Get a great cardio and core workout in less than an hour! This class includes a 45 minute cycle class followed by 10 minutes of core work on the BOSU.

Props used: indoor cycles, Pilates rings, medicine balls, and BOSU trainers

Footwear: spin shoes highly recommended; sock feet for core portion


   

Yoga Release - 1 hour

Ideology: A challenging mat workout using the practice of pranayama breathing to encourage relaxation of the mind and endurance of the body. Become calm, flexible, and strong all while experiencing a cardiovascular challenge as you push through the power vinyasas of this class.

Props used: mat and yoga blocks (provided)

Footwear: bare feet


   

Pilates + Boxing - 45 minutes

Ideology: Pilates + Boxing is a Hollywood fitness craze that combines Pilates, boxing and dance, into one challenging workout that will burn fat and sculpt your muscles fast! Pilates + Boxing integrates the power, speed and agility of boxing with the strength and flexibility of Pilates. Attain a sleek, lean, powerful self-image.

Props used: Mats, weighted gloves or light weights. 

Footwear: Barre scocks (slip resistant socks; sold at the JSF front desk) or bare feet. 


   

*MAX* - 35 minutes

Ideology: MAX (Maximum Interval Training) is a 35-minute class that promises to push you to your maximum levels of exertion.

For those who are unfamiliar with interval training, it is essentially a form of training where you vary your exertion in several intervals. For instance instead of running for 30 minutes you might divide this into two minutes of jogging, one minute of sprinting and five minutes of walking and repeat this several times.

Although the MAX class is inside, the same logic will apply with the use of plyometric moves, weighted and body weight strength exercises. It's only 35 minutes, but in this case, 35 minutes is plenty of time!

Props used: dumbbells, medicine ball, Bosu trainers

Xhaust - 45 minutes

Ideology: Xhaust uses HITT (high intensity interval training) timing to produce a killer workout in minimal time. The work to rest ratio is designed to produce maximum work in specific muscle groups, all the while giving a great cardio workout.

Although the MAX class is inside, the same logic will apply with the use of plyometric moves, weighted and body weight strength exercises. It's only 35 minutes, but in this case, 35 minutes is plenty of time!

SWEAT - 45 minutes

Ideology:Ideology: SWEAT is a 45-minute full-body cycling workout that incorporates resistance and core exercises - all done on the bike. The instructor will have you moving and working to the beat of the music so your body remains engaged. Unlike traditional cycling classes, these added movements will work your shoulders, triceps, biceps, abs and obliques all while your lower body continuously cycles. The result is a calorie-torching, body-toning workout that feels more like a party.

Props used: spin bikes, medicine balls
